Great honor for the “SimplyNano 2®” project. The nanotechnology experiment kit for secondary schools wins the prestigious Worlddidac Award 2023. The educational project was awarded the coveted prize for teaching materials at the Swissdidac & Worlddidac trade fair in Bern. After the “Building Award 2021”, this is already the second award for “SimplyNano”.

The Worlddidac Award is an independent recognition for innovative and high-quality educational products. It is considered the highest award in the education industry.
An international panel of experts has been evaluating educational products from all over the world since 1984. Thanks to the professional and elaborate assessment, the award is a recognized seal of quality.
With the “Worlddidac Award 2023”, “SimplyNano 2®” is recognized for its convincing concept, the didactically high-quality content, the promotion of girls in technology lessons and the interdisciplinary character of the learning medium.
Enthusiasm and curiosity promote the next generation of specialists
“SimplyNano 2®” is the world’s first experimental learning medium on nanotechnology for schools. It consists of an experiment kit with 37 experiments, comprehensive experimentation and learning materials, online tools and teacher training courses at technology companies.
The aim is to arouse young people’s interest in scientific and technical subjects and technical professions through fascination and thus promote the next generation of professionals. SimplyNano 2®” achieves this through exciting and practical experiments, high-quality didactic content and cooperation with technology companies.
Broad Use in Swiss schools – launch abroad is imminent
More than 3700 “SimplyNano 2®” experiment kits are already available in over 400 upper secondary schools in ten cantons. From 2024, further secondary schools will be added in the canton of Glarus and other cantons in Central Switzerland. The learning medium should be available in secondary schools throughout German-speaking Switzerland by 2025. The learning medium is available in German, English and French and will also be used abroad in the future.

The “SimplyNano” learning medium was developed by Innovationsgesellschaft, a St. Gallen nanotechnology start-up, and is published by the SimplyScience Foundation in Zurich. SimplyScience is a non-profit foundation that aims to get children and young people interested in scientific and technical topics.
