SimplyNano 2 project in the canton of Zurich
“SimplyNano 2” is a new project to promote STEM among high school youth. Exciting experiments and practical applications are designed to promote interest in science and technology and make a concrete contribution to the promotion of young professionals in technical professions already at school. Around 1100 “SimplyNano 2” experiment kits were made available to all secondary school classes in Zurich. A series of professional development courses for teachers took place between September 21 and June 22. Thus, in addition to exciting new content, the project also provided a new platform for training issues between companies and schools. The “SimplyNano 2” was supported by 38 partners. In addition to the Lottery Fund, it was a broad sponsorship of companies, foundations, associations and Rotary Clubs. The canton of Zurich is so far the largest canton in Switzerland where the “SimplyNano 2” learning medium is used.
