Experimenting at RUAG AG
The final course of the “SimplyNano 2” project in Central Switzerland took place in Emmen at RUAG AG. The traditional Swiss company provided insights into the company and its vocational training. Afterwards, 20 teachers and two apprentices from the host company were inspired by the “SimplyNano 2” experiments.
SimplyNano at Schindler AG
The “SimplyNano” project was recently hosted by Schindler AG. Teachers from Central Switzerland were able to get to know and experiment with the teaching material. Secondary schools in Obwalden are now experimenting with nanotechnology. Class sets of “SimplyNano 2” experiment kits are being made available to the upper secondary schools. High-tech experiments are designed to get young people interested in STEM professions. The project for the canton of Obwalden started with a teacher training course at Sika in Sarnen.

The new SimplyNano -2 experiment module “The Lotus Effect” offers an exciting extension for science lessons in schools. It replaces the previous experiments with salvinia plants, as their use has been banned since September 1, 2024.
Uri is the twelfth SimplyNano 2 canton
Schools in Uri are now experimenting with nanotechnology. Ninety “SimplyNano 2” experiment kits were made available to the secondary schools. High-tech experiments are designed to get young people interested in technical professions. At the nano-experimentation course, the Director of Education of Uri was also inspired by the “Nanos”.

New “SimplyNano 2” project in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn
900 “SimplyNano 2” experimental kits are available nationwide for upper grades in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn. This means that the nano learning medium is already in use in all schools in eight Swiss cantons. By 2025, the learning medium should be available in schools throughout Switzerland.
Successful “SimplyNano 2” project in the canton of Zurich
